Get to Know the New Community Leader
by Vicky Bunting

Becoming a leader of Sion Community is an exciting and great responsibility for me.
God leads us in our lives in unexpected ways and it is a real privilege to be able to serve Him in Sion Community.
I was brought un in a CAtholic family in traditionally Catholic Spain but it was in my teens when my family and I had a real encounter with Jesus Christ through a prayer Group. Living the life in the Spirit with the help of brothers and sisters in the faith marked me deeply and two deep desires were imprinted in my heart: telling others about Jesus, as I wanted them to experience the same joy and salvation I had experiences; and the desire to be in a community serving God and the Church.
Some years later I met Andy, my lovely husband, who shared my passion for God and His things, and after four and a half years of living in Spain, putting down the foundations of our marriage, we decided to move to England to join Sion Community. Everything seemed to say that it was the right time to take this step in our lives. That was five and a half years ago and Sion Community has become the place through which we meet God everyday: through prayer the through others in whose lives we share.
I feel that my first call to remain faithful to God's plan for Sion Community. he is leading us in new ways but we must not disregard the past and all the wonderful things God has done through the generous giving of many; only if we remain faithful to God's call and keep moving forward will we get to the place that He has prepared for us.
