Michelle Moran
was elected as President of ICCRS
(International Catholic Charismatic Renewal Services) in 2007,
and appointed as a member of the Pontifical Council of the Laity in 2008.

What exactly is ICCRS?

ICCRS exists to serve the needs of international Catholic Charismatic Renewal. It is the main co-ordination and service structure of the Renewal worldwide. Currently it serves Charismatic realities in 165 countries and has contact with 230 countries. It seeks to foster good communication, co-operation and collaboration within the Renewal. ICCRS has statutes recognised by the Vatican (ie Pontifical recognition), it works in communion with the Holy See and is the main communication channel between the Vatican and Charismatic Renewal globally.

What is the role of the President?

The President does not have a formal job description. Apart from overseeing the office in the Vatican, which thankfully has a full-time director, Oreste Pesare to ensure everything runs smoothly. The President works at the various continental levels. Some of the main duties are acting as the main contact person between the Vatican (via the Pontifical Council of the laity) and the worldwide Catholic Charismatic Renewal, representing CCR at major international Church events, speaking at international conferences, ecumenical gatherings, providing training and formation and ensuring that there are good channels of communication.
