World
Youth Day 2005 was a blistering success in many different ways. We as
Sion Youth were there doing an evangelistic outreach in Bonn. Sian,
the outreach Co-ordinator relfects:
"29
young people: ready to stand up, to share their own
faith and to serve all to make God known! 250 people came just as God
promised; the team gave all they had."

Leadership Training Course will next be running:

A
specialist course for those involved in or moving into leadership
In today’s
world it is vital that the Church continues to grow and move forward.
Confident, well trained leaders with vision and expertise are essential
to make this happen.
This intensive
Leadership Training Course will enable leaders to:
- Grow
personally and become more effective in leadership
- Develop vision and establish strategies which facilitate growth
- Motivate, enable and empower others
The course
has a firm biblical foundation and draws upon useful management skills.
It is held at S.E.N.T. in Brentwood, Essex, and all participants will
have an opportunity to share in some aspects of the life and prayer
of Sion Community.
Course
Content
The
Leader:
- A
biblical understanding of leadership
- Knowing yourself and discovering more effective strategies for
leadership
- Examining various leadership models
The
Task:
- Effective
strategies for planning, developing vision,
setting goals & targets
- Time management
- Utilising resources
The
Team:
- Team
building and group dynamics
- Taking risks, coping with success and failure
- Dealing with conflict and harnessing differences
Cost
The
Leadership Training Course costs £280. This includes food, accommodation,
tuition fees and all course materials. The course begins with supper
on Sunday 14th May and ends after lunch on Friday 19th May. To ensure
the best use of our available time, the course is fairly intensive
with three blocks of teaching per day. Many of the sessions will be
interactive, and participants will be encouraged to apply the material
to their own particular leadership situations.
