Youth Ministry

Cross Purposes

Our Secondary School Mission Team, called 'Cross Purposes', works all over the UK. We proclaim the Gospel to young people in a way in which they can understand and just as importantly, to which they can relate, inviting them to centre their lives on Jesus.

It is often said that Christianity is not popular among our young people today, tending to be associated with rules and boring services.

Our innovative and dynamic team turn that on its head and find that many young people choose to actively engage in their faith.

Vision

Sion Community Youth Ministry is a dynamic force affecting thousands of young people throughout Britain.

We strongly believe in enabling young people to be ministers as well as being ministered to and this shapes and informs much of the work we do.

At the core of all our work is the desire to see more young people passionate about Jesus and hungry to go deeper in faith, so as to build up the Church.

Youth Membership

Many young people want to go deeper in their faith and dedicate specific time for developing their relationship with God and the Church.

Gap years are common method to do this. Sion Community runs a year long formation and discipling programme for young adults between the ages of 18 and 25.

Alongside their training, pastoral support and community living they get the opportunity to minister to other young people through one of our Youth Ministry teams.

Young people taking a gap year with us become members of Sion Community and receive their board and lodging plus a small monthly fee. For more information on Youth Membership contact our Youth Ministry Leader on 01277 215011.
