SION YOUTH EXISTS TO SPREAD HOPE AMONGST THE WHOLE CHURCH BY LEADING YOUNG PEOPLE TO CHRIST

We do this by evangelising, discipling and empowering young people. These areas are reflected by the three branches of our ministry:
  • Sion Youth School Mission Team
  • Sion Youth Events
  • Sion Youth Foundation Year

The Sion Youth Team’s aim and vision for Mission is to help people encounter God and grow in understanding of the Catholic faith.

A Sion Youth Mission enables a school to:
  • Revisit its mission as a Catholic School.
  • Have the Gospel proclaimed in a radical and accessible way to both staff and pupils within the school context.
  • Establish stronger links with the feeder Parishes of the school, and to enable pupils who want to return to a Parish to make that journey.
It achieves this through a three stage Mission process:
  • Pre Mission
  • Mission Week
  • Post Mission

A Sion Youth Mission is a time for a school community to revisit its mission as a Catholic school and to have the Gospel proclaimed in a radical and accessible way to both staff and pupils within the school context. It will achieve this through the following adaptable programme:
