CORE MEMBERSHIPIs for those people within Sion Community who are full time and long-term committed to the vision, ethos and ministry of the Sion Community, and as the name suggests, Core Members make up the core of the Community. Most of Core Members live in a community base and work full-time in each area of ministry that Sion Community is involved in.
We are also currently looking into what life-commitment and family membership might look like within Sion Community and its structures. If you feel called to the long-term commitment to Sion Community which is Core Membership, you will need to take part in our 3-year Formation process. |
TestimonyMy wife, Vicky, and I joined Sion Community in January 2003. We are both Core Members.
We worked initially in the Primary School Team until August 2008. That year Vicky was elected Community Leader, and I was asked to move to the Parish Mission Team. I now serve on the Primary School Mission Team. Community life has its challenges, as you come face to face with your own reality and that of others; this has its difficulties, but also helps us to grow. Community also provides wonderful opportunities for lay people to be involved full-time in the work of mission and evangelisation. This work is very fulfilling, and I thank God for the privilege of being a part of it. Andy Bunting |
