Sion Community regularly runs Family Days on Sundays at our residential base, S.E.N.T., in Brentwood, Essex. These days have been running for several years now. They involve a group of families coming together for about 4 hours. The day starts at 11:30 and finishes about 3:30. Donation only. Everybody welcome.
On a typical Family Day there would be a talk for the adults, faith-based activities for the children, Mass, and a bring-your-own shared lunch. Weather permitting, there might also be supervised outdoor games after lunch. These days are a wonderful opportunity for families to pray, learn and socialise together, providing a much-needed space for reflection for the families who attend, in the midst of busy family lives. They are also a way of helping to keep Sunday special as the Day of the Lord, and are greatly valued by those who attend.
Please contact us to book before attending a Family Day, as we do need to prepare age-appropriate resources for each child attending; it also helps us to know any additional needs the children or adults attending may have. We also host an annual Summer Camp for families (bring a tent if possible!)
