Thank You S.E.N.T. was built in the 1970s and is the home to many of our Community as well as being a centre for training and learning. A building of this age is in constant need of repair, replacement and maintenance to continue to operate. Thanks to the generosity of supporters and benefactors, enough money was raised to replace our kitchen, which is at the heart of our Community, enabling us to continue as a centre for the New Evangelisation, catering not only for the Community but also the many guests who stay with us during the year. We are very appreciative of your support and hope that you may be able to join us and enjoy our hospitality. Why not join us on one or our Retreats or Courses - Weekend for Men, Weekend for Men, Moving in the Anointing, Silent Retreat and more. See the menus 'for families' and 'for adults' on the website! |
What's next? Our facilities support many activities including residential Courses and Retreats as well as offering conference and meeting facilities for Christian organisations. The living and function rooms, bedrooms and corridors are all in great need of new carpets and flooring and our bathrooms and toilets need refurbishing for both our Community and to enable us to continue to offer our facilities to have paying guests We are grateful for any support you can give us and there are some ideas below. You can also see some different ways of donating on our Support us / Fundraising page including: Virgin Giving Give as You Live Recycling jewellery, bank notes and printer cartridges |
Here are some ideas
|
4) How about running a quiz night, scrabble night, beetle drive or any other games night or competition? Charge an entry fee and if you are very popular you may have enough money to offer a prize to the winner(s).
5) There are always many and varied sporting events happening - cricket, football, Wimbledon, cycling, formula one, athletics - and many other popular games, matches and races! Why not hold a ‘big screen event’ at your house or maybe even in the parish hall. You could include cold drinks, ice cream, strawberries and cream etc. – for a small charge! Or hold perhaps hold a a sweepstake or fantasy world cup event at work, among friends or in your parish. If you have some great fundraising ideas of your own then let us know. Send some photos of your event. We’d love to see them. |
